Either that, or swimming in lane 7 on a deserted Thursday night is the equivalent of saying, I'm desperate, please hit on me and ask me out to "coffee" while I'm trying to swim. No thanks, even if you were 15 years younger.

Went swimming last night, and it was great, there was no one there. And by no one, I mean that the only other person got out as I got in, and I'd done about 8 laps before someone else got in. I was glad, I was kinda getting creeped out swimming in such a big pool by myself. I was pretty happy, I did 1100m (44 laps), 100 metres more than last time :)

I've now backed up my video files, and have checked that we have all the installation cds that we need (I hope). Our big concern is the cable modem, we have no idea about it (though we have a cd), and the Optus website is no help. And as long as we can get it running, we can download any other drivers or stuff we need. We're going to attempt to reinstall our original WinXP installation. If that doesn't work, we're wiping the hard drive and starting from scratch, which is a bit scary.

First of all, you're dead sexy, full stop. In or out of a swimming cap and goggles. I'd like to see the swimmers, though... :)

Secondly, how long did it take you to swim 44 laps??!!! I swim for an hour twice a week and I realy do hate to think how FEW laps I manage in that time, although i've never counted 'cos I swim in the tiny hot pool with the other old crocks :)

Aw, shucks. The swimmers are fairly flattering (discreet underwire), but still!

I should hasten to add that it is 44 laps of a 25m pool, not a 50m pool! :) Takes me about 45 minutes or so, I think. I started doing laps again just recently, started at 30, and have worked up. Did a lot of swimming as a kid, and it's still one of my preferred forms of exercise (far better than jogging, ugh). I alternate freestyle, breastroke and backstroke as the mood and energy takes me :)

See, the one time I got hit on at the pool was post-break-up so I blew him off.

Now that I'm single and lonely it hasn't happened again. :P

That would be so freaky swimming by yourself: I tend to go in the middle of the day on weekends and am constantly smacking in to people. Grrrrrr. And my poor hair keeps getting lighter and lighter.

(But other than that, it's great!)

It was freaky. You could see all the way from one end of the pool to the other so clearly, when normally it's all churned up and full of people. I wasn't comfortable, since I've never like swimming by myself (long story), but this guy wasn't a huge improvement! :)
