Theory about Jack

Ok, have just had a major brainwave about that spoiler about Jack from Last of the Timelords.

I've finally reconciled to myself the whole Jack = Face of Boe scene. While I've seen some wonderful discussion and stories about it being true, overall there's so many reasons why it's annoying, and contradicts previously established canon, both onscreen and offscreen (which always holds less weight, but still!). There's a list here, if you're curious.

So, if Jack isn't the Face of Boe, how to explain the end of LotTL? Some say it's a joke, a prank, Jack was nicknamed after the Face of Boe because his head was unusually large, but I've finally realised the truth...

Jack is the father of the Face of Boe!!!1!![1]

That's why the Face of Boe lives for billions of years, when the usual lifespan of his species is forty years, because his daddy is immortal. And it's Jack - he'd totally have sex with a giant head in a jar.

[1]or possibly the mother - we don't know who got Jack pregnant with, after all.

Am I onto something or what? Or has all the economics study (still gonna fail!) made me completely lose it?

I dearly want someone to write a DS/Torchwood crossover wheren Fraser is recruited into the Canadian brach on Torchwood. I can just see Ray bristle with anger and jealousy when (not if, when) Jack flirts with Fraser (and him too).

Of course, Ianto would win Fraser's heart by being able to make proper tea.

I still haven't managed to watch the Torchwood discs. Because I am a twat. In my haste to get to the Tennant goodies on the second disc, I put the first one down somewhere and now can't find it! *sniffles*
