Awww, look what we spotted in the garden today - a bush turkey chick!



Unfortunately it was a little camera shy and this was the best shot I could get without getting too close and maybe freaking it out.

Hey, while I'm at this, have some photos from when I went skiiing last August.

Me skiing (very slowly on gentle slope so my sister wouldn't kill herself taking the photo)

Thank you for sharing the pictures! The sunset/rise pictures are gorgeous and I'm completely enthralled with the bush turkey. And how cute are you are bundled up in the snow?

Skiing photos are certainly ones you can post openly online, no matter how paranoid you are *g*.

It's only recently that we've spotted the turkeys around here, despite always living on the edge of a suburban bush area. Good sign in some ways (though it could be the drought forcing them into backyards), though they are mound-builders, so they can do a fair bit of damage. We'll have to wait and see if they're moving in :)
