Don't judge us (too harshly)
May. 25th, 2006 09:02 pmRemember that mama and baby half-grown possum we've had hanging around? We are not going to feed them regularly, I promise. But my mother is a soft-touch (and dad and I are complicit), and I've got the most adorable possum pictures.

girl_clone a happy random day, I hope you've had a good one, even though it's nothing particular or anything *g*.

Date: 2006-05-26 04:21 am (UTC)I mean, mama with young present, and she not only doesn't give a fig about the camera flash, not only does NOT flee human approach, but ACCEPTS FOOD DIRECTLY?!?!
That's insane!! I don't think there's ANY American fauna that would do that! Rare individuals, maybe, but certainly not in general. That's just freakin' amazing.
Then again, they're so cute they can get away with it, apparently. *g*

Date: 2006-05-26 07:05 am (UTC)Yeah. I remember going to the zoo when I was nine or ten, there was a racoon there (even though they're ALL OVER THE PLACE in Chicagoland...) and of course signs saying "Do Not Feed The Animals." I mimed throwing something at it, and the poor critter went insane trying to find the imaginary piece of food. ;)
Damn non-obeying people. Then I felt bad for the poor thing. *g*
