The mangled garage door. In some ways, it doesn't look as bad like this.

Yeah. That's pretty mangled.

Oh yeah. I'm probably the least inconvenienced, since I don't get to park in the garage *g*.

Very mangled. lol

At least it was a failed handbrake. My employers have hit the garage door whilst trying to back out of said garage.

Twice.

Well, by failed we suspect she really didn't put it on much, but true, at least it wasn't that *g*.

So am I, but you haveto pull it, it won't open mechanically (the mechanism is fine, it just doesn't pull it up far enough).

Oh, man. That just sucks.

Also brings back memories... Heh. When we were little, my brother (who was maybe 8 at the time) was playing in the front seat of the car (five kids, hard to keep track of them all, you know?), and jogged loose the brake, causing the car to roll down the steeply sloped driveway, clear through the wooden garage door, all the way through the garage, and partway through the back garage wall--tearing off both rearview mirrors and the antenna in the process, and scratching the hell out of the paint.

My brother burst into hysterical tears, and Dad thought he was frightened from the accident and didn't punish him at all. He WAS scared--scared Dad was going to break a life-long rule about never hitting us kids and beat his little head in. *grins* My brother loves telling that story...

My dad was left alone in a car when he was three and took the handbrake off. Luckily, I don't think there was any damage to him or the car, but kids and cars just don't mix *g*.

Oopsie!

No, seriously. Nobody was hurt, that's the main thing. Doors and cars are fixable, if inconvenient.

And it was such a nice door, too, as garage doors go.

It was a good door - went with the house well, and worked nicely (except when it would only open part way).

Yup, our poor garage door. It was just sitting there inoffensively, then gets taken out by a driverless car *g*.
