Date: 2006-03-18 03:58 am (UTC)At least it was a failed handbrake. My employers have hit the garage door whilst trying to back out of said garage.
Twice.

Date: 2006-03-18 05:10 am (UTC)Also brings back memories... Heh. When we were little, my brother (who was maybe 8 at the time) was playing in the front seat of the car (five kids, hard to keep track of them all, you know?), and jogged loose the brake, causing the car to roll down the steeply sloped driveway, clear through the wooden garage door, all the way through the garage, and partway through the back garage wall--tearing off both rearview mirrors and the antenna in the process, and scratching the hell out of the paint.
My brother burst into hysterical tears, and Dad thought he was frightened from the accident and didn't punish him at all. He WAS scared--scared Dad was going to break a life-long rule about never hitting us kids and beat his little head in. *grins* My brother loves telling that story...

Date: 2006-03-18 08:50 am (UTC)No, seriously. Nobody was hurt, that's the main thing. Doors and cars are fixable, if inconvenient.
