I lasted less than two hours work before making a physio appointment and leaving. My neck/upper back is very painful, and it's not something acute I've done, it's not in spasm as such, but rather very very tight (which is unusual for me, my sister is prone to this type of problem, but not me). The physio even did an adjustment (cracked my back) which I've never had before. Weird.

Not gonna be online much for the rest of the week, both due to not being able to sit well, and because I'm afraid computer usage might be a leading cause in this, dammit.

Full day at school tomorrow, I really don't know how well I'm gonna cope with this. I can't sit up straight, and the one pose I find somewhat comfortable probably isn't good for me. The one real relief is from my hot water bottle, and I can't really take that with me.

*pets you* That really sucks. I sympathise, only because in the past week I've developed lower back pain that's not really painful, but irritating. I can't find a position comfortable enough for me to sit or even sleep in. Ugh.

Not sure if you can get them there, but have you seen these? Or maybe something similar?

I hope you feel better soon!!! *hugs* Sitting at the computer a lot can cause that sort of problems *points at self*. I've learned it's important to take breaks as ofteh as possible.

Try putting ice rather than heat on it. My chirpractor told me in the first few days of an "injury" use ice as it helps reduce any swelling.

Ouch ouch. As a chronic sufferer of back pain myself, there is nothing worse than unidentifiable back pain. If you can, try to take some brufen or rub in some artro-aid cream which has shark cartilege and glucosomene. I have no idead how to spell it. DeepHeat is also good but it is rather burny. Make sure you sleep with your head and shoulders elevated, on your back if possible. Hope you feel better!

As a fellow back pain sufferer, I sympathise.

Back cracking is weird. I've also had my hips, neck and chest/ribs/sternum (which is the strangest) cracked.

Ouch. Carrying a hot water bottle isn't very practical. WOuld you be able to get portable heating pads like these? A few different companies make some, ostensibly for relief of the muscles in the lower abdomen during that time of the month, but they should pretty much work anywhere.
