Given the popularity of the various remix challenges, maybe we could have a mash-up challenge (crossover stories! I'm so in the mood for some wacky multi-fandom crossovers) or a cover version challenge. Which could be either a crossover where it's characters from one fandom in the setting of another fannish universe, or, rewriting a story from one fandom to be about characters from a different fandom. Wow, I just seemed to have invented a new excuse for plagiarism - "I wasn't stealing their story, I was writing a cover version". Maybe we'll file that under "ideas I had while I was trying to get to sleep that I should have forgotten overnight".

I love stories where characters get outed or come out. A lot. Not just popfandom, though I love it there too. And I can't get this out of my head - Lance comes out/gets outed, and Chris's only public comment about it is "that anyone who was surprised by Lance Bass being gay just wasn't paying attention". I really should write one of the many plot bunnies involving outing that I regularly contemplate. Hah! Me actually writing something as opposed to just talking about ("oooh, to get revenge on Nick, Paris outs Howie. On live tv at a major event!" type thing).

Comments in this post inpire me to ask - what is your favourite endearingly silly (or stupidly endearing) thing that an object of fannish interest has said or mis-said? Interviews, bloopers, appearances, whatever.

Grima Wormtongue joins a boyband! And all his music like totally fucks with people's heads, specially during royal command performances.

As for actors saying silly things, Lewis Collins is still my favourite with: "I want babies, but I don't have a woman. I don't know why a woman has to be involved."

Mwahahaha! Lewis is a source of delight ;)

And Grima in a boyband is a nice twist, you think with that sort of crossover, it's gonna be Legolas.

Legolas would be the very pretty one with the very high pitched voice who says things like: "I'm in a boy band" or "I like to sing." Grima is the creepy one that has to be trained to take a bath by his production manager, but sings wonderful background harmonies and writes all his own music, and always gets slashed with the big boofy one who grows awful beards. Probably Eomer.

Oh, and Grima falls in love with Paris Hilton, but he is the first and only man she ever rejects.

Oh my god, this is the best pop-meets-LOTR ever! And there have been others that I've quite enjoyed, so it's not empty praise :)

Definitely Nick's "I resign in Florida" comment.

Nick is an all-to-often source of such quotes. Oh Nick *g*.

Outing! Woo hoo!!

I really want to see Puppetfic. You now, like in the "SMiel TIme" episode of Angel? One of the guys turns into ap uppet and we get to watch the shenanigans that follow. It was an idea of someone's in trollprincess' LJ.

I found it amusing.

Chris would so totally go to town with the concept. Depending on the time period Joey would use it to grope/get cuddled by women without consequences. Jc probably wouldn't notice, Justin would panic and lance woudl find some way to make money out of it. Or at least publicity.

For puppet discussion, I must point out this discussion in [livejournal.com profile] kaneko's journal (also continued here a bit) *g*.

Much to my dismay. I tried encouraging them, but sadly, no story.

*cough (http://www.livejournal.com/users/azarsuerte/196489.html)*

The Deja Vu challenge is fun. Remix Redux is always fun. I had an idea for a vidders version (take the same song, same fandom, and redo the vid).

Crossover challenges are always fun. I am such a crossover whore, totally hooked on things like the Everyday Superheroes (http://www.livejournal.com/users/phoenixchilde/259215.html) challenge

Ahh, mroe the merrier. Challenge away!

Yeah, I was mostly thinking of pop, I should have known there'd be that style of challenge somewhere *g*, I shall have to check them out. I was just riffing off the remix concept (which started in popfandom) and going with other music concepts, so there'd be matching challenges.

But no way am I trying to run a challenge! Merely contemplating here ::runs away::

A crossover challenge would be cool. I think I could go for it *g*.

I just like to use the word mash-up more often. It's a fun word. Like crossovers are fun.

My brain is mush, it's Friday night.
