story challenge concepts
Mar. 11th, 2005 11:45 amGiven the popularity of the various remix challenges, maybe we could have a mash-up challenge (crossover stories! I'm so in the mood for some wacky multi-fandom crossovers) or a cover version challenge. Which could be either a crossover where it's characters from one fandom in the setting of another fannish universe, or, rewriting a story from one fandom to be about characters from a different fandom. Wow, I just seemed to have invented a new excuse for plagiarism - "I wasn't stealing their story, I was writing a cover version". Maybe we'll file that under "ideas I had while I was trying to get to sleep that I should have forgotten overnight".
I love stories where characters get outed or come out. A lot. Not just popfandom, though I love it there too. And I can't get this out of my head - Lance comes out/gets outed, and Chris's only public comment about it is "that anyone who was surprised by Lance Bass being gay just wasn't paying attention". I really should write one of the many plot bunnies involving outing that I regularly contemplate. Hah! Me actually writing something as opposed to just talking about ("oooh, to get revenge on Nick, Paris outs Howie. On live tv at a major event!" type thing).
Comments in this post inpire me to ask - what is your favourite endearingly silly (or stupidly endearing) thing that an object of fannish interest has said or mis-said? Interviews, bloopers, appearances, whatever.

Date: 2005-03-11 12:57 am (UTC)I really want to see Puppetfic. You now, like in the "SMiel TIme" episode of Angel? One of the guys turns into ap uppet and we get to watch the shenanigans that follow. It was an idea of someone's in trollprincess' LJ.
I found it amusing.
Chris would so totally go to town with the concept. Depending on the time period Joey would use it to grope/get cuddled by women without consequences. Jc probably wouldn't notice, Justin would panic and lance woudl find some way to make money out of it. Or at least publicity.

Date: 2005-03-11 01:00 am (UTC)The Deja Vu challenge is fun. Remix Redux is always fun. I had an idea for a vidders version (take the same song, same fandom, and redo the vid).
Crossover challenges are always fun. I am such a crossover whore, totally hooked on things like the Everyday Superheroes (http://www.livejournal.com/users/phoenixchilde/259215.html) challenge
Ahh, mroe the merrier. Challenge away!
