The stuff I'm most likely to take (Panadol or Herron's paracetamol, Nurofen, Sudafed or Chemists Own pseudoephedrine) are all unaffected by the Pan Pharmaceuticals situation :) We're not big takers of vitamins and stuff, so I don't think we've got any affected products, but a complete list is supposed to be available this afternoon.

Kinda scary, isn't it? When I actually took vitamins I used to take Cenovis ones. Glad that I stopped now. Meep.

Very scary (and extremely dodgy). Was interested to read that a whole bunch of the different lines of vitamins are all owned by Mayne Health, when I'd assumed they were competitors :)

Mayne Health pretty much have their fingers in everything nowadays. A lot of the private hospitals in NSW have been bought out by Mayne, as well.

I've never believed in taking Vitamin supplements and the like. I always thought if you ate properly you wouldn't need them. Now I'm glad :-)

They've done some long-term studies on multi-vitamin use, and they've never found much evidence of it doing any good, as far as I know. Which is good justification for me being too forgetful to remember to take them, even when we did tend to have them around :)

The point with vitamins is that they only work if you don't get enough of what you need out of your diet. If you already have levels that are fine you'll just excrete it. I mainly used to take them when I was at uni cause my diet was all over the shop.
