Kindle question

My sister-in-law is thinking of buying my brother a Kindle, and asked me about the current models, but I'm only really familiar with the one I have (Kindle Keyboard).

Does anyone have any thoughts on Kindle Touch v Kindle v Kindle Keyboard?

When I brought mine I did some reading about the differences. The Kindle Keyboard actually has more internal memory than the Touch. Also, some reviews of the Touch talk about a slightly frustrating experience using the touch features. Though apparently the Touch does have a slightly faster page turn, so it probably comes down to usage and personal preference unfortunately.

I don't like the idea of a touch because I don't like the idea of putting my fingers on things. Smudgy screen. Tricky to know.

Good point, my phone screen gets all smudgy.

I've only ever used the keyboard one, but I would imagine the touch can get smudgy yes. I know, from smartphone and tablet experience, you either clean it daily, or get a cover to help protect it/keep it less smudgy (and if you are me and my phone, still cleans it every other day).

I guess it comes down to how comfortable he is with touch? If he has and loves a smartphone, or perhaps a tablet, he may be more interested in a touch version. Or if he prefers phones with actual keys, he might prefer the keyboard version.
