I have very little to complain about with this episode. And with the exception of Pot o' Gold, I do think this season has been pretty good and consistent (by Glee standards, which are not like other people's standards, it must be noted).
Thank god for not being spoiled - I had no idea Santana was gonna get outed, or how. Holy fuck. And while Finn shouldn't have said what he said WHERE he said it, you could see why he did it (and to be entirely honest, I thought it was gonna be his comeback even sooner than it actually was). And while I wouldn't wish this on anyone and I'm not endorsing outing or saying she deserved the awful consequence that could happen - Santana deserved someone standing up to her, she can be an utterly vile bully a lot of the time. And I'm fascinated to see what will happen now. Am I bad person to hope that it leads to the end of Brittana, and Santana eventually getting a love interest that I can root for?
Puck/Shelby gives me the creeps, and Shelby needs to grow a spine and shut him down before he gets destroyed by this, but Hot For Teacher was SO MUCH FUN. And way more sexual and inappropriate than anything in last week's episode, but I doubt that Family Organisations will be denouncing them over this. Oy.
I can't believe they advertised the Adele mashup (which was great) as the 300th musical performance. Have you seen the list? It includes song snippets, stuff I don't remember being in episodes (may have been background music eg Impossible Dream in Dream On, huh?), 30 secs of Kurt teaching Burt and Finn to dance in Furt, Fergalicious (which was cut from the episode, and has never been seen, and there wasn't even a Glee version of the song released as a bonus track), and #298 on the list wasn't even in this episode as it should have been! (Not specifying in case it shows up next episode or something).
My single biggest complaint is that there's no new episode next week! Have to wait two weeks >:(
Oh, and LET BLAINE WEAR SOCKS AND FULL LENGTH PANTS!

Date: 2011-11-16 05:23 pm (UTC)I'm not complaining about the lack of Blaine!socks this week, because we got that amazing tube sock/short shorts combo in the dodgeball scene ;) AND we got some Darren-esque curls in the Hall & Oates mashup. I'm just a sucker for those curls, NEGL.
I was a bit perturbed, however, that Kurt and Blaine are back to acting like virtual strangers again. I mean, really? No nods at all to last week, even just a meaningful smile in passing? I'm choosing to think that in that very very brief glimpse of them milling around onstage before the mashup contest begins, they're eyefucking like mad, just peeking at each other from under their eyelashes. La-la-la, my head, my rules. Oh show. You make me crazy, but I just can't quit you...partially because I'm afraid I'll miss something epic like the microphone stand humping in Hot for Teacher ;)

Date: 2011-11-16 07:31 pm (UTC)Apart from the on-stage background moment, I think the only other interaction was the random "looking out the choir room window together" bit, and Blaine helped Kurt down from the chair (Kurt's in the riding getup).
Seriously, they can have background Finn/Rachel when they're not the focus, why can't we have background Kurt/Blaine?
