Once Upon a Time - random blather

Anyone else hooked on this show?

I was so sceptical when I heard the concept, but I'm loving it. Am concerned about how long it can run - it seems like a concept that should be 1-2 seasons, maximum, but we'll see. I believe it's already had a full season pickup.

Such a great (female-dominated) cast, I love Emma and Snow and the Mayor so much! And the shifting between flashbacks to the fairytale realm has been done well. I wanted more Snow White/James flashbacks though, dammit! They do know how to draw out the anticipation. Cinderella's flashbacks have me confused about the timeline - Snow and James are together, but don't seem to be living under the doomcloud of impending curse, so are they not married yet?

Yay for a show with Robert Carlyle that I want to watch (unlike SGU...)

Snow White and Cinderella dancing was all kinds of cool, I dunno why.

Way to use up two fairy tales at once with the Cinderella/Rumpelstiltskin mashup. They'll run out of the classics quickly if they're not careful.

I'm gonna be so sad when they don't get Chris Colfer to play Pinocchio.

I could see myself getting sick of Henry though, I think they need to use him a bit more sparingly. Now, where's the Ruby-centric episode? That girl is intriguing...
