Let me turn to the dictionary, and look up the definition of pointless filler episode...oh yup, just as I thought, this is now the example used.

SO FUCKING POINTLESS. And I could deal with being completely ridiculous in its implausibility (what, none of them have families who could have come? the gigantic mysteriously appearing orchestras and backing choirs), if it had been more entertaining.

Apart from ending Will/Holly to push Will/Emma (*yawn*), and seeing up the new queer alliance, nothing was achieved. And do the rest of them even know Kurt and Blaine are together? It's not like audience would know if they hadn't seen Original Song, given their behaviour and that it wasn't included in the "previously on Glee" segment.

Ten minutes later, and I can't even remember any of the songs done in the episode...

the only real highlight for me, apart from the queer alliance, was Puck's face when Sunshine sang - do the directors tell Mark Salling to make the mistiest faces he can every time a diva other than Rachel sings? He was pulling those faces in 'Original Song' during Candles too. :D

but yeah, apart from that, a real yawnfest

Plus, he was moved almost to tears by the old peoples' choir at Sectionals :D As a reward for sitting through the episode, you should check out this video of Cheyenne Jackson (Dustin) mostly naked.

Also, seriously, like the kids' parents wouldn't have gone to the benefit? Kurt's mom? Rachel's super-proud dads? They wouldn't have gone to a fund-raising concert their kids were giving? Really???

None of them have families, apparently, even the ones we've met before. I'm willing to suspend my disbelief for so much in Glee, but this was just a stupid set-up, beginning to end.

Santana being awesome for like 30 seconds and Brittany being magical cat disease knowledge girl were the only parts worth remembering and none of the songs were even good. >:(

All I remember is that Tina finally had a solo and then they RUINED IT. >>>>>>>:( Also Mike's dancing was THE BEST. Needs more Mike and Tina numbers!

Tina's solos ALWAYS get ruined. It's like a running gag by now only it's not very funny.

I was happy they actually let Harry Shum Jr do something. He actually got to dance for about a minute and a half. Other than that eh... I agree with the implausibility that Finn's Mom didn't show or something. Although I did find the 'Pink Dagger' amusing. His reaction to the Aretha song made me laugh.

Dude, if that'd been the entire episode, and then they'd thrown in some shirtless Cheyenne, I would have been just fine with it.

Except that Kurt and Blaine should have at least been holding hands or something a little boyfriendy.
