this is not a real problem
Dec. 22nd, 2010 10:12 pmDad has acquired a new tv and HDD/DVD recorder for Christmas. The DVD part of the device is region-locked. Can't find a workaround for it. If I'd known he was seriously looking, I would have insisted on input, but this took me a bit by surprise. So we'll be even more cluttered with devices cause we'll have to keep the sturdy old Pioneer dvd player (not sure if it's still true, but it used to be that every Aussie fan's home I visited had one, cause they were good, reasonably priced and all-region straight from the box when most weren't. Meant there was never a problem using each others dvd players).
I've felt most of the evening feeling sorry for myself after overeating at the work Christmas lunch, or possibly some of the food didn't really agree with me + wine, or combo thereof.
This interview with Chris Colfer about his Golden Globes nomination remains the best thing I've seen lately. There's a few vaguely spoilery comments about Superbowl ep and other stuff in the middle, but its things that have been widely reported. Or just jump straight to 4:15 where things get totally awesome: "have you been kissing any boys in private school uniforms?" "not here" and "it's really funny how hungry people are for that - calm down, perverts". And then Lea Michele attacks him and the adorableness continues. Oh, and he jokes about the real reason that Teenage Dream was so successful: "cause it's the first time you saw Kurt smile" (which is what I adore about that scene, separate to the song itself).

Date: 2010-12-22 07:25 pm (UTC)Kurt is totally a little shit! What's amazing is how sympathetic he is, even when you want to shake him for being a brat.
