Has anyone seen the remastered original Star Trek dvds with the new special effects? There's a good deal on them from Amazon UK, but I'm not generally a huge fan of updating special effects (Red Dwarf SUCKED! I can't separate my dislike of the actual changes they made to Star Wars to remember what I thought of the actual effects, but overall, not a big fan.)

I haven't seen the Trek DVDs, but I wound up buying the special edition Star Wars DVDs and only ever watching the bonus discs with the orginal theatrical releases. There's something so charming about being about to see strings. :D

I can't remember if I've got the special edition, cause I only cared about having the original Star Wars releases :)

The original ones weren't available on DVD at the time. If you wanted them, you had to buy the special editions and watch them on the bonus disc. >:(

But, I do have the old VHS tapes somewhere from when I was a kid! :D
