So, that's three nights in a row I haven't left work til around 9pm. I have class all day tomorrow. I'm gonna go to work on Sunday after we have a family yum cha outing for Mother's Day.

In fannish news, while they are no replacement for my beloved departed Kyle/Oliver, I've fallen for Luke/Reid over on As the World Turns. I've seen a bunch of the Luke/Noah stuff, but no where near all, cause I'd heard how shitty the "plots" were a lot of the time. But Luke/Reid are hot, and it's good classic soap - someone being torn between their ex (who they still love, even though their relationship was going nowhere) and the hot doctor treating the ex.

And I'm reading some skating RPS, since thanks to my f-list, I know way more than anyone who isn't in the fandom should know :D

I don't know anything about soap operas! The last time I watched One Life to Live or As the World Turns, I was four and watching with my grandma! IDK WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON.

But I stayed up ridiculously late last night watching the Nuke and Reid and Noah ~story arc, and now I'm working my way through Kyle and Oliver, and hello! These people are pretty! And there's kissing! And some manpain and LOTS OF PINING. HELLO I AM INTRIGUED *_________*

I grew up watching various soaps, but nothing regularly since my late teens (and never OLTL or ATWT - they've not been shown in Australia).

I LOVE KYLE AND OLIVER (AND CRIS AND LAYLA TOO) SO MUCH! How much have you seen?

Well, I haven't been watching whole episodes; just their coupley clips on YouTube since someone posted every time they're on screen together or talking about each other all spliced together. What little I've seen of Layla I love as well! HOW IS SHE SO GRATE. SHE IS SO GRATE.

I've mostly just watched Luke and Reid kiss scenes since I have a weakness and anytime they're cute together because I'm having some trouble finding their WHOLE story arc posted like it is with Kyle and Oliver, but OH MAN KYLE AND OLIVER HELLOOOO ILIT. I am up to... I think they're about to go on their first date for realz this time, so I've seen all the Thanksgiving and fake-outs and past the almost gay marriage to Nick that wasn't, and yeah, around in them thar parts. :D

At least rewatching Luke and Reid make out (over and over) stopped me just endlessly rewatching the almost kisses (when they kept getting interrupted) from the week before. The tension and anticipation was just delicious.

There seriously is nothing sexier than build-up and teasing and anticipation. This is good soap, reminds me what I loved about them when I was a kid (except now they are gayer!)
