breaking news: Adam Lambert exists!

I have discovered that Adam Lambert is not just a collection of pixels.

I went into the city a bit earlier than usual, to detour slightly via the Sunrise studio (think Good Morning America/Early Show type program), and joined a group of about 25 people watching through the window to see Adam perform. Sadly, the audio we could hear was actually via the broadcast, so was slightly lagging behind watching him sing live, though it did give a hilarious lipsync look to it.

Afterwards, he stopped to sign a few autographs on his way out, and though I didn't try to go up to him, it was cool to see him just a couple of metres away, and think profound thoughts like "gosh, he's so tall, and so pretty".

Definitely a good way to start a Monday.

Plus, I got to turn to some other people hanging out there and say "we've met at Fall Out Boys concerts and stuff before, right?" and be correct. It's a small small world sometimes :)

The Plaid Fetus I was talking aobut in my rant was first spotted with a couple of local ONTD_AI people at the Kris Allen showcase, where they were groping Pocket Idol to death. Pretty sure she's going to be at Lambert's showcase next week as well, I've already warned friends.

Oh so you guys have got the "buy the deluxe album and hopefully your serial number = ticket to showcase" thing too? That annoyed quite a few of my friends that were looking forward to seeing him. Though, from what I've seen of the local BSB fanscape, the hardcore ones will always find a way to get into M&G and soundchecks. I mean, look at me. :)

Dude, from what I hear from other people, ONTD AI is just like every other damned ONTD comm out there. At least the ones locally, though I think the local ONTD AI group weren't causing any trouble at the BSB show, but they rushed the stage all the same. *shakes fist*

I'm really starting to feel old.

Eh, I've been lurking there since June, and they seem less crazy than a lot of the Idol fans. Though this doesn't mean they aren't crazy too, just in less really creepy ways.

Adam didn't have a showcase here, I meant the Singapore one. His only performances in Sydney were on SYTYCD results show, Mardi Gras party, and Sunrise. No mini-concerts or anything, alas.

I love going to concerts and meeting up with people I know from other artists' concerts.
