I'm exhausted but oh so happy :D

Thursday: work

Thursday night: class

Friday: fly to Melbourne

Friday night: see Backstreet Boys with indybrat in the front row!!! First time I've ever seen any show from barrier, and it was awesome. The Boys were amazing, it's an incredibly fun show and they look like they're having a great time. So much cute interaction between them. Also, too-briefly catch up with notyourfriend and theflash (sorry I wasn't more organised!) and head to Macca's after the show with fickwalker, mel_b_angel and K.

Saturday: After four and a half hours sleep, get up and go to airport for early flight back to Sydney. Go to all-day class (though I was there late and left a bit early).

Saturday night: see Backstreet Boys from front row with fickwalker and K - who got a rose from Nick Carter and a kiss on the cheek. She was on my left. The girl on my left in Melbourne got a rose from AJ. I should charge people to stand next to me at shows ;) Head back after the show and check out video and pics. Briefest thoughts - sound quality better than Melbourne, little less hilarious antics.

Sunday: after about seven and a half hours sleep, I'm still pretty shattered. Have resorted to full strength coke, and am perusing my videos (quite a bit from Sydney, not much from Melbourne, they were being way strict about targeting people in Melbourne).

In conclusion: I LOVE THE BACKSTREET BOYS AND I LOVE MY FRIENDS ♥

Second conclusion: SEVEN DAYS! I need a copy of that picture, notyourfriend :D

I was just glad I got Boys so up close to me ;) I had to most awesome ticket karma for this tour, and they didn't even come from the fanclub (where I've always got great BSB tickets before).

Seven shows, and I've never been further back than 5th row. I am so umbelievably spoiled.

No after-party (though from what fickwalker heard, doesn't sound like we missed much). I didn't take too many pictures, but some of the Sydney video is ok. I'll have to burn it all to disc and chuck it in the mail to you. You'll want a copy of fickwalker's Melbourne videos - sound and picture quality is excellent (I think her being on the side helped with the sound quality, cause damn there was audible distortion where I was on the floor in Melbourne, and cameras only sound worse generally).

So so so very lucky with crowds - Melbourne they weren't allowed to rush, and Sydney people did rush, but were so well-behaved (not shoving or trying to get in front of us) that I felt a little bad when after a few songs, they got sent back to their seats.

I'M TOO OLD TO DEAL WITH TEENIES I TELL YOU. Fucking ugly Singaporean crowd that grew up on ONTD. I THOUGHT KIDS THAT AGE THOUGHT BACKSTREET WERE LAME.

I've got about 1.2GB of good pictures, and some good vids from my friend that was on video duty. Unfortunately you can hear security guards screaming and blowing their whistles even over the sound system and the Boys.

Yup I've been asking Glory if we can do an exchange. The last one worked out well. :)

BSB are such adorable goofballs. AJ did some ballet moves, Nick still loves to twirl, Brian is a gigantic ham, and Howie didn't want to get too sexy with the dancers - he's a married man now! (He still likes to sing love songs to Nick though)

Uploaded a random stack of pictures from Sydney on Flickr. I think we're about to settle down for a little LOST (I know, bad idea while still so frazzled and sleep deprived) while I start pulling stuff off the video camera. Phew. Definitely must have a little rewatch when we trade stuff.
