I was going to make a happy post about a) finally getting my mark for the horrible exam I did in December, and I PASSED!!!! \o/ and b) the nice (if very wet! so much rain) day I had in Canberra with my parents (we visited the National Art Gallery and National War Memorial), but...

MY GODDAMN FUCKING COMPUTER WON'T TURN ON >:(

It was fine this morning, and I turned it off when we left (cause we had a huge storm last night, and more rain today was forecast), and now it doesn't start up. One light comes on, but no start-ing up noises, no signal to the monitor, nothing. Hopefully its something simple and easily fixed, like the internal power supply thingy (actual technical term).

I'm on dad's computer for now (sidenote: his monitor died the other day, and his new one is the size of a freaking tv).

If the Waratahs don't beat Queensland, I might actually cry.

We're getting it looked at, he's hopeful it'll just be the power supply, so fingers crossed! :)

What kind of a computer do you have? That happened to my Acer, and supposedly it's common enough that if you google 'Acer black screen', there's a fix on the internet. The Acer fix was pretty easy to do: you just needed a USB stick.

Hopefully this has happened to someone else who has your computer and you can fix it yourself.

Thanks for the info, but it's not an Acer, and that problem seems to be for laptops/notebooks, mine is a desktop :)

We did not really deserve that win, I do feel sorry for Queensland as they were the better team on the field for most of the game.

There was some APPALLING refereeing as well. Seriously, "we can't keep track of professional fouls/dirty play from different players", wtf? Yes you can, and you can tell the team that the next person who does anything like that will be sent off. You're the fucking ref, try behaving like one (also, read the fucking rulebook, and get one of the touch judges to do the same).

The last ten minutes nearly killed me, my dad and I were going fucking nuts when we scored.
