My three major music fandoms colliding! From here: Adam Lambert, like all the guests at the Jingle Ball, is scheduled to make an appearance in the MetroPCS Celebrity Club, alongside special guests Leona Lewis, Paradiso Girls, Cobra Starship, Chris Kirkpatrick - I am dying here. It's like a gathering of people that Alex Deleon has stalked and gloated about meeting on Twitter.

I don't know if this has down the rounds before and I missed it (since it's from August), but CHRIS AND JOEY SINGING I WANT IT THAT WAY? This is the best thing I've seen since Muppets singing Bohemian Rhapsody!

And I gotta say, Kirkpatrick is looking and sounding good. Apart from that beard thing. I love that Joey doesn't know the words - I thought the entire world knew that song. Now I'm feeling all nostalgic about karaoke night at Challenge in Chicago - we did a kickass rendition of IWITW. It wasn't as epic as the multilingual This I Promise You (English, Spanish and Ameslan), and I can't carry a tune if handed one in a bucket, but a) we knew the words and b) overemoted our hearts out. Which that song needs.

The rest of the patrons of that karaoke bar were so confused by us all :D

Definition of disappointment: seeing a link to a new interview with Adam, and the screencap on the embedded video has Steven Smith interviewing Shakira! but then finding out someone else interviewed Adam :( It's a good interview, but it's no Steven Smith...

He better interview MCR for their new album, or I'm gonna be seriously pissed off at the universe.

Karaoke in Chicago! Those people were so very confused. "Are you a bachelorette party?" They all did the BBB dance, though. I was just thinking about this yesterday! Thinking that somewhere in the world there is a bit of video of me signing TIPY in a karaoke bar and having the best time ever.

I KNOW, IT MAKES ME SO SAD :( I was daydreaming about finally visiting NY/Boston (especially now that hnix has emigrated to the US), maybe timing it with a tour to catch show(s). MCR will be touring next year (I've got tix to see them here in February, but there's never enough MCR) or Adam fucking Lambert - which is all your fault, bb.

But I've still got one year of study left for my professional qualifications, so it'd all depend on being able to fit a trip in around busy times at work and study commitments.

If I don't get overseas in 2010, 2011 is definite (I'll have weeks of holiday time saved up by then), and NY is very high on my list of places I must visit.

I'm picturing a photo of Adam, Chris and Gabe - well, Adam and Gabe, and some spiky dark hair standing between them, but the photographer didn't stand back far enough to get Chris in the frame too ;)
