PUT DOWN THE REMOTE AND WALK AWAY FROM THE TV.

We always had a good test for watching too much of the Late Show. The first stage was beginning to find Rob, then Tom, then Tony, and then finally Jase really attractive. I have gotten to the Tony stage, but thankfully I have never gotten to the Jason stage. A few days rest and watching some hot young things usually cures the symptoms.

DAMN IT! I see what you did there. I know Simon must have been chin-handing over Adam at some point! It's just the camera's were too busy showing us Paula waving her arms around not in time to the music. I've only seen Adam's performances, and they are all without judge comments. STILL! It's ADAM! SIMON MUST LOVE HIM!

I can't help but spoil it for you, cause it's actually from an even more awesome moment - Susan Boyle's first performance on Britain's Got Talent.

But they all love Adam, of course. To a ridiculous amount, even. I don't think the over-the-top praise helped him in the long run, cause eventually people turn to the underdog (Kris).

OMG! I've just come up with the best programming idea in HISTORY!!!! Susan Boyle, great singer yet shabby dresser, right? Bad hair? Or whatever. I've never actually watched any of her youtube stuff 'cause it annoyed me (not her, but the reaction that a plain person might have some talent). BUT! Adam goes over and gives Susan a make-over! And, because Adam is so nice it wouldn't feel exploitative. It would just be the best slumber party EVER! "Fuck them, hon! You want the beige, I am with you on that! Let's just jazz it up a smidge with some, very subtle, rhinestones. Now, let's sing from our next favourite musical! I vote 'Grease'!"

I think there's a fair bit more out there, but I haven't been looking. I stumbled upon it while looking for Cook/Archuleta stories. Who I know nothing about. But I don't read Adam/Kris (just does nothing for me), so I ended up reading astolat's season 7 fic, which I never had looked at, and the stories are adorable. But apart from her and celli, I've found very little worth reading in the pairing.

Which you didn't need to know, but I felt like over-explaining :D

heh, clearly you sent me the wrong discs then, because as much as I love them, I don't want to slash them. Though trying astolat's Adam/Kris then led to me reading her Cook/Archuleta AI stories that I'd never read, and I really like them /o\ And there is basically no good fic I've found for that pairing apart from her and celli.

Plus, I get freaked out if I see David Archuleta, cause he looks about 14.

I watched part of season of Australian Idol (the one with Anthony Callea and Casey Donovan). When they announced Kyle was becoming a judge, I knew I was safe from ever getting sucked into it again.

(Also, turns out I only watch Idol if it features a gay man coming second)

I'm driven insane by reality shows (it's not like I think I'm better than them or anything, I just can't stand false hype and manufactured anticipation - stop pausing dramatically, it makes me unreasonably furious!), so I felt I was safe from Sandilands on television, but his very existence makes me livid. Simon Cowell, at least, knows when to stop acting like a dick. :)

Before I ever saw an episode of AI I stumbled over some Ryan/Simon on my search for more Adam/Kris and Cook/Archie and I was all 'EW, nooo!'.
As soon as I had actually seen some AI episodes I went back to read those Ryan/Simon stories. *g* They were good, too! :D
