hnix and I watched a lot "" of footage yesterday, and it was awesome. Apart from when she mistook my leg (and the floor and the couch and her laptop) for a plate, and threw half a container of semi-dried tomatoes over me. What a waste :( Okay, it was only like 6 left, but still a waste.

But something that had to be rewatched many many times once we noticed it was the very end of MCR's appearance on Saturday Night Live. I've always been so distracted by Frank climbing on Bob that I'd totally missed the incredibly sweet hug between Ray and Gerard. I'm talking full body, hand in the hair, lifting Gerard off his feet hug.

So I made a gif - first time I've ever done that, so apologies for the quality. ETA: tried again, a slightly different way, not sure it's an improvement.

Other highlights that we needed to watch multiple times included:

Quinn: opens door Bert, we've broken up! slams door (but the magic 8 ball did tell him that)

Question: where are you going to be in 5 years?
William: that's an awful question, how would you like it if I asked you that?
Sisky: I'll be 25, that's how old Butcher is now.
William: makes priceless WTF? face

Why does Gerard kicking the drums at the end of the TRL performance of "I'm Not Okay" (where Frank had destroyed the drumkit mid-song). Hadn't they suffered enough already, Gerard?

That bit is at about 1:15 in the second part. But there are many good bits during it, including William's frustration over people assuming that After the Last Midtown Show is about Gabe (but honestly, I have no sympathy).

I love them, but watching William in interviews is difficult sometimes because he's so earnest, so when he's snarky no one ever seems to pick up on the snark and then he *repeats* that bit to make sure people get it and ugh, embarassment squick. But there are so many good bits too! (not least being how pretty they are, hee)
