credit card woes

I just discovered a bogus $US600 charge on my credit card, which fortunately was reversed the day after it was made last week. But I'm freaked out that it was made in the first place, and annoyed that there's a $17 currency exchange fee that hasn't been reversed.

Guess I'm going to the bank tomorrow. Hope I don't have to cancel the card.

Went to the gym tonight, I've been so slack in the last 2-3 weeks. I have to make it to the gym at least 3 times a week this month (4 would be better). I should probably set myself a reward to go with this goal, but at the moment it'd be along the lines of "if I achieve this, I won't punch myself in the head repeatedly".

Oh crap!!! At least they discovered the error (which sounds like all it was as opposed to something suspicious), but the exchange fee should be taken care of, too!

I've cancelled my card, alas :( But they reversed the exchange fee at least.

If there's a possibility that someone has your number, you should cancel the card and get a new one before something happens that can fuck up your credit.

I know what you are going through. I'm still changing automatic deductions because I had to cancel one of my cards. I also found $600 in charges that weren't mine. Somebody is getting a lot of gasoline on my account. Even though it is a major pain, I would recommend closing the account and getting a new number. I lost a card back in February and the last place I used it at was the place where the charges were made so I am a little suspicious. At that time, they canceled the card but didn't close the account. In hindsite, I should have had them close the account. But I'm letting Discover handle all that.

Hope the bank doesn't give you any trouble.

Uuuuuuurk, good luck with the bank, because damn right you shouldn't have to pay the exchange fee. Ugh.

And yay for getting tot he gym, it's a little depressing how much your motivation for going x times resembles mine. *weak high five of solidarity?* But, yes, good luck on going again soon and getting back into the habit.

And, eeeek. I at least tend to be lame and not have to worry about that since I just use my dad's elliptical and treadmill. I suspect more variety would long-run be good for me, though, heh. *wishes you more luck*
