I'm inordinately amused that Melbourne has the Enterprize Hotel, the Atlantis Hotel, the Nova StarGate Apartment Hotel and the Highlander Apartments. The only Sydney hotel I can think of with a good name is the Vulcan (went to an Aussie XF newsgroup gathering there, many years ago).

Melbournians - last time I came to your fair city, we used Skybus to get from the airport to Spencer St Stn, and then the free shuttle to hotel. I've noticed Jetbus goes from airport direct to hotels for the same price. Any thoughts on which is better/more useful?

I think whatever is easiest for you, if they cost the same. I guess it just matters how often each runs?

I wonder if the poor staff at that hotel get really sick of the inevitable jokes? :)

I think one runs to a schedule, the other picks up for specific bookings, so we'll just have to see. Less than six weeks to go!

I haven't heard of Jetbus until now, so I am no help at all. I guess you could take potluck and try it. It seems the main advantage of Skybus is you can just purchase a ticket when you arrive but with Jetbus you need to book before hand and print your ticket.

Yes, though the not having to change buses (with Jetbus) is quite tempting, and I read some good reviews.
