my day hasn't sucked (not completely)
May. 7th, 2008 03:55 pmI had a job interview this morning and went to work for half a day.
Came home and received an invitation to next round of job application from another place, which I interviewed at last week. Go me.
Then...I received a job offer from today's place \o/ Have said I am very interested, but of course have to see the details etc. She's going to send me the contract today or tomorrow. I'd be starting in July, rather than next February (which is the case at a lot of places for graduate programs), so I'm almost certainly going to accept rather than keep looking. It isn't as big a place as the firm I got the invite from (nor does it have as swish an office), but a job (starting soon!) is worth more than a chance at something which wouldn't necessarily be any better. And pay is going to be pretty similar for graduates everywhere.
Realised that my package had finally arrived from the FBR Store - Cobra hoodie + some tshirts \o/
Discovered they sent a TAI green shirt instead of the FOB is for lovers shirt I ordered, bastards. (And it's not that I don't love TAI, I got a different one of theirs in this order anyway.) Plus, the wrong TAI one is XL, while the FOB one was ordered in L (big for me, but there weren't many left).

Date: 2008-05-07 06:40 am (UTC)But seriously, I wish I could! Just keep sending out applications, I sent at least 16 applications to get 4 interviews, one of which I haven't had yet, one of which I didn't get to the next round, one of which I just got to the next round, and one which offered me a job.

Date: 2008-05-08 12:31 am (UTC)My Panic tshirt that came with the boxset is a bit big on me, despite being labelled as a small. Most odd. It's definitely a larger size than the other size small band tshirts I have.

Date: 2008-05-08 08:24 am (UTC)Yeah the sizing is all over the place. My OCK shirt was originally a size small and I could just fit it so I have no idea what size is actually is. Hopefully I get my panic shirt quickly and it's as pretty as the brown one. Mmmm tshirts.

Date: 2008-05-10 08:15 am (UTC)Idiot answering my email didn't bother to notice that I'm an international customer, I assume. I'm gonna email back and ask really? You want me to spend at least $15 sending this $10 shirt back to you?
