Yay, didn't need to wait til after uni tonight to find out, there was an email from Frontier Touring (embedded music at linked page) when I woke up, announcing the tour.

And the support act - The Academy Is...! I'm so happy (apart from the awkwardness of role reversal). Wonder if they'll be missing the last show(s) on Warped, since it doesn't end til the 17th?

Wed 20th August - Brisbane Entertainment Center
Friday 22nd August - Acer Arena Sydney
Saturday 23rd August - Rod Laver Arena
Monday 25th August - Adelaide Entertainment Center
Wednesday 27th August - Burswood Dome Perth
Saturday 30th August - Vector Arena Auckland

Prices are tending to be about $76 for GA and reserved seating, and $88 for "Panic Pit" (which I cannot find an explanation for - anyone? I'm guessing they mean front section of floor, at venues which can be split, and the whole floor at other venues). Pity the Sydney venue is Acer and not Ent Centre.

So, Sydney and Melbourne, yes! I'm not sure about any other shows, my work situation then is completely unknown. Adelaide is tempting, but I'd have to have Monday and Tuesday off. Maybe Brisbane, I could fly up late Wed afternoon and come back first thing in the morning, if I do have a new job and getting time off is tricky.

Presale through Frontier Touring - Thursday 10th April midday (fuck, I have a tutorial then)
Presale through Visa Entertainment - Monday 7th April 9am

Please take note the following ticket limits apply:
Panic Pit - 2 per person
General Admission - 4 per person
Reserved Seating - 6 per person

I'm thinking Melbourne and Sydney. I was going to do the other shows but... I don't think so. If it was Cobra on the other hand...

Burswood Dome? Are they fucking high? Worst venue I have ever been to to. Horrible acoustics, stupid-ass seats. Andomg the tickets are onsale when I'm in class. ohshitohshitohshit.

Wait!

Ahahahaha!!! I'm on break then! Yes!

I might have to try and get some tickets in the Visa presale, I can do that more easily than the Frontier one (though I assume the Visa presale is one of those ones that has higher fees? I'm not sure).

I'm thinking Sydney and Melbourne might be it for me. If I decide closer to the time to add more, I'll just have to pay more on ebay.

SEEING YOU WILL BE THE BEST PART! :D And you're invited to stay with me, of course, if you want.

Yeah, it'll be front floor. I think they'll find a way to divide the floor at other venues that don't normally get divided, or they will not have it.

I think I noticed that Melbourne only has Panic Pit, not PP + GA like Brisbane and Sydney do, so I think at venues with no divide, the entire floor will get slugged the higher price.

I'm leaning towards floor at Sydney (cause I enjoyed hanging out at the back of the front section for MCR in Brisbane) and seats in Melbourne. Hmmm. TOO MANY DECISIONS!

But Rod Laver can be divided.

I hate seats, so I'll go for floor. Though, I'm not particularly enthusiastic. I'm more excited about seeing all you guys.

Ah, interesting. Well, now I'm confused that they only have Panic Pit in Melbourne :)

Seeing people ALWAYS is the best part :D But Cobra being added to the bill has increased my enthusiasm even more!

I seriously spent today thinking about this tour. We may have to talk, I need realistic estimates on the cost before I decide if I'm insane (I am probably insane!) It's only barely a possibility I could even get the time to go, but -- Panic and TAI tour! We are never going to get that in the US again!

!!!!!!!!!

I am torn between OMG YES and "okay, let's be serious here" *g*.

Your biggest single cost will be getting here, but airfares between cities here add up fairly quickly too. Free accomodation in Sydney, naturally ;)

Also, look at what else you'd want to do while you're here, and whether you'd have time. It's a looooong way to come *just* for the concerts (and me, of course), heh.

Jesus christ that's expensive! Man, it really makes the currency thing evident--my Panic ticket was £16 (£20 with fees).

It is indeed a little weird for TAI to be second-billed. But whatever, William Beckett for the win!

I hope you have fun. :)

Yeah, it's about normal (for us). My Chemical Romance were about $65 at a different venue, FOB were $70 or $75 at the venue Panic is playing (all before fees). Backstreet Boys were $90-100, as was Pink. Bon Jovi and Justin both cost me closer to $150 (not the most expensive seats).

Aussie fans who are all "OMG so expensive!!!" are making me laugh. Kids ;)

Ahhh, I am SO EXCITED. *flails at and with you* Am planning on Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland (obviously), so I should see you there, then. ROCK. I suspect the plane from Sydney to Melbourne is going to be HILARIOUS with overexcited tired fangirls, oh man.

I've only done it for U2 and - okay, with the Frames it's always just people I know ANYWAY (although, okay, once we randomly ran into one guy inside the show who'd also been to one show on the other side of the country with us, but that was more him recognising Court than us picking him) - but, oh, man, yes. So entertaining! I swear to god, half the flight back from Honolulu had U2 shirts on, and if it wasn't those, it was the Hawaii marathon (which was the same day).

Ooooh. Excellent. I shall definitely be going to Sydney. I'd love to go to Auckland, because that's my birthday. However, it will be Sydney only for me.

That would be an AWESOME birthday, if only!

I suspect I shouldn't be planning multiple, but can't resist the Sydney-Melbourne double header :D

Oh yay! And it's Rod Laver and not Festival Hall like I feared it might me.

Hahahahahahaha! You are the first person I've seen to be happy about Rod Laver - all the teenie Panic fans are "oh no! why not Festy Hall?"

I will see YOU in August :)

From: [identity profile] indybrat.livejournal.com
You will indeed see me in August. I don't know if I'll do the double header and my head hurts too much to think about it right now.
