soundcheck update

No soundcheck passes for me - I wasn't one of the 21 winners for Sydney (and how unlucky do you have to be to not win with them giving away that many *g*), and turns out, oh whoops, they aren't having a soundcheck party for Melbourne!

This was only discovered because we pushed for them to post a complete list of winners, since they said all had been notified and no one was saying they'd won for Melbourne. I'm more annoyed by this typical lack of organisation (and that we won't have a chance to try and get notyourfriend in, than I am about missing out. Though, at least they didn't announce winners, then not hold it (like the second London soundcheck last tour).

Of course, the Fall Out Boy meet and greet still makes this look well-run, after they almost didn't let OCK winners bring their +1 in with them. That took special skill at screwing up by someone *g*.

I don't have experience with the soundchecks, BUT, from what I heard with the Never Gone stuff, didn't the bodyguards have a tendency to let random fans in if you were around and asked nicely?

Yeah, I got into three last time thanks to that. So I'm trying not to complain too much about not winning *g*, but as always, their level of disorganisation is just so frustrating!

We're pretty pessimistic about non-winners getting in, because this time as part of the soundcheck, there are group photos with the Boys. And with 21 WW winners and a few from other comps + their guests, you're already looking at least 50 people attending the Sydney soundcheck. I'm going to wait to hear what happens at the first concert (Brisbane), but I don't know if it's going to be worth a try, alas.

That makes me sad! What is with fanclubs being so messed up?

But then again, we're seeing the Backstreet Boys, and my glee in that alone is just epic.

I need to run fanclubs, I could totally do a better job. For example, I wouldn't start selling fanclub membership at the same time as ticket sales and force people to join over again for each VIP ticket they want, dear Panic *g*.
