trumpeterofdoom and I have been with Servage for almost year now, and they've been adequate but not brilliant. Downloads are very slow at times, and the lack of useful stats on downloads etc is frustrating. Customer service has been very good at times, but crappy a couple of times.

Does anyone have any reasonably-priced webhost recommendations? We're coming up for renewal, and just thought we'd check. Obviously, not caring too much about what we're hosting is a must ;)

Bizland is good. Reliable (I can think ONE unscheduled downtime in five years), excellent customer service. We didn't have the volume you did footage wise, but we've had some and not a lot of attention was paid. Good usage stats, too.

I use godaddy.com for my media files, and haven't had any major problems as far as I know. Course, ordering can be somewhat messy (a lot of extra offers and stuff like that, but you get used to it). Never used it for a main site of any kind, but I don't think it should be too much of a problem either. Know almost nothing about customer service though, mainly cause I've never needed it much. I also use it for my domain registrations, so I can have everything in one place.

A quick google search says godaddy can have up to 12 hours of wait time for en email customer support ticket. Which is a lot. They are cheap and wonderful for media, but if you need more, you'll need to check the web for more info on them first I think. Still, for media, I think they are wonderful! And so far, they haven't cared about what I have on there. Mainly bsb media and no full tv shows, but still. :)

I use 1and1.com for hosting and I pretty much love it. It's incredibly cheap, but doesn't skimp on services and has been nothing but reliable in my time with them. I also know many, many professional designers (web, print, etc) who use it, so it is a reputable place.

When I had my domain I used hasweb.com (http://www.hasweb.com). I don't remember what they think about certain files being hosted, but I know that I never received an email to take down anything I had uploaded. And I never had any down time with the servers.

Hasweb was my first host, so I checked them out again the other day, and unfortunately they're just not competitive in terms of bandwidth and disk space (which is why I left them originally). Thanks though :)
