So tired, but two concerts, much socialising and completely awesome fannish times are totally worth it :D I must try and write some stuff down about the concerts before I forget. I've completely got everyone's that I was hanging out with names/lj names mixed up, so I need not_nele to get home so I can double-check with her who all the wonderful people were.

Am now starting to plot what the hell I'm gonna do about Backstreet tickets. Have rejoined fanclub, which may be pointless. It appears the presale on Wednesday is being done through Ticketek, for fanclub, Sony and My Ticketek members (aka everybody). There is still no info on backstreetboys.com or Weird World about the Aussie dates, or whether the fanclub has a specific allocation for the presale. But I joined anyway. If I get too narked at them, I may cancel membership in the first ten days and try for a refund.

But currently, I'm thinking that I'll go to the Sydney and Melbourne shows. Who else is interested? Only price being listed is for Sydney ($99 for A Reserve, $87.50 for B Reserve).

I mentioned the other week that one of my cousin's is expecting his first child next year. We found out yesterday that his younger brother (two months younger than me, we spent a lot of time together growing up) is also gonna be a dad for the first time soon after his brother! The eldest of the three of them already has four kids. I'm so happy for him and his wife, but damn, I wish my brother or sister would have kids for my parents to fuss over :( It'd reduce my irrational guilt about not reproducing.

Thing achieved today so far:
- laundry
- joining fanclub

Things to do:
- watch many episodes of tv shows
- make sandwiches (we freeze them for taking to work)
- make a cake (not sure why, I think just to use up overripe bananas)
- concert reports

Eating at some point might be a plan. My eating habits have gotten really screwed up this week.

People on the Aussie list are bombarding the fanclub with emails, and as that is getting no where, have moved onto calling The Firm in LA.

Still nothing, though the girl who phoned The Firm in LA was told there will be a fanclub presale (and she was all like "...the tickets go on sale tomorrow, you realise this?").

Are you going to have net access during the day, in case there are updates? Fortunately for me I'm not working tomorrow.

From Nat on the Aussie list at 6:30am today.

i called up "The Firm" and spoke to a girl called Jennifer (she's the one to talk to if anyone else calls up). She told me that WW and The Firm are ready to go but there's been a hold up with Andrew McManus presents and that they'll contact them when they come into the office, so at about 9. She told me that "fantastic" seats have been put away for us and that there will be some info up on WW once they finalise things with Andrew McManus presents.

So we'll see. Meanwhile, I got a reply to my emails about my login, consisting of someone asking if I could login in yet. Fuckwits.

Ugh. Joy. *headdesk* Thank you Andrew McManus presents for bringing undue stress into our lives! lol. At least the Ticketek page now has the Melbourne seating plan up and a note saying tickets go on sale today, but nothing else. Mreh. *crawls under desk* I'm way too tired for this!

They've updated the front page of WW with the Aussie concert dates, saying presale TBD, so that's something (a very little something).

Well of course management is going to blame the promoters, I wonder what story we'd get from them? ;)

Nix that. Only pricing is up for Sydney, but at least now, once you're logged in, you can change the city you've chosen to purchase tickets for. Argh! My poor tired brain is way too stressed out for this. :-)

I rang Acer Arena, as the seating plan didn’t explain row numbers for floor seating.

Goes from row 1 at the front, through to about row 40 at back. Numbering goes from 1 (on right?) to about 50 (on left? I think that’s how it was).

Oh man. *headdesk* Y'know, I actually had that thought a little earlier today... What if the "pre-sale" will happen Wednesday US time? Fuckity-fuck-fuck.. Ahem, excuse the profanity.

I'm thinking I will see what Ticketek throws up at me today, if it's what I want, we'll go for it. Of course, I'll check again for the WW 'pre-sale' and if better tickets are available, I'll buy again and re-sell the others to someone else. Meep. Too much stress!

Last time was a debacle. We knew that they were doing a pre-sale on the WW site, but there was timezone confusion. They said the sale was 9am DST (or some acronym that actually has no Aussie meaning and technically is like Newfoundland and around there). So we all tried at 9am on the Friday, and nothing, so decided that maybe they did mean Newfoundland time, which would make it about 11pm Friday night.

So I went to work, and around 2pm the presale started with no warning.

Luckily the other girls I was buying with were altogether and checked the fanclub once more before heading to the airport, so called me at work. Two people on laptops + 1 on phone conferring with me. I was struggling with shitty work computer and telling my cool old boss that I'M ON A BREAK!

Yeah, we're doing the same thing. Get the best we can on Ticketek, then try again for something better in the WW pre-sale. We'll see how we go! :-)

Yes, I think I'll only bother with trying for 2 tix to each concert through Ticketek, for me and indybrat.

I'm sure I can find a home for extras, even if have to take a little bit of a loss on them.

Tickets for Syd (Section 19) and Melb (Section 18) have been gotten... In ridiculously bad seats though. I surely hope the WW allocation is better than what we just got.

I couldn't pull up A Reserve for either place (same as majority of people on Aussie list - must be mostly blocked out for ticket brokers, fanclub (hopefully) and the rest for general sale).

For Sydney, we're in Section 19, Row HH, Seats 425-428. Melbourne, I'm sketchy on details because my girlfriend got them at home.

I'm thinking the A Reserve tix have got to be blocked out for fanclub etc. To be honest, I feel a little bit better about things knowing that everyone else was having the same problem in not being able to pull up better tickets. Makes me think that perhaps the WW pre-sale might be more fruitful.

Sorry to ask you a million questions, but were the tickets obtained through WW last time pretty good? I know you were a row or something ahead of me in Sydney, so I'm assuming those tickets were obtained through WW.

Somebody just managed to score two adjacent front row tickets in Sydney, I have no idea how (pulled them up through Ticketek). I was playing around, and pulled up a single second row ticket on the floor, so bought it (I'm fucking crazy! *g*)

More people got A Res than I thought at first.

Last time, fanclub seats were fab - I got 5th row for Bris, 4th row for Syd and 3rd for Melb.

OMG. Well done!! *applauds* You're not crazy, I totally would have done the same thing. In fact, as soon as I got this comment, I raced back to Ticketek to try my luck. Sadly, the only tix I could pull up were in the same section we already have, but row FF instead of HH. Tried again after that and got the 'Unable to fulfill your request' message. Argh.

Someone got front row in Sydney? That's awesome, I'm so wickedly jealous it's not funny. lol.

I have every finger and toe crossed that the Fan Club pre-sale will be as good to me/us this time around as it was to you last time around!

The single second row ticket is for Melbourne, but I can't ditch indybrat *g*. Hopefully, we'll all be able to improve our seats with fanclub, or at least pick up another single near it.

However, last time it seemed that an entire floor section was blocked out for us - everyone was in the same blocks at each concert (Section A in both Melb and Syd, Sect 47 in Brisbane). This time, people have been getting tickets from all across the floor in both Syd and Melb, so I'm a little concerned.

But I just keep telling myself that if this was any other show, I'd be ok with my current seats, I was just spoilt last time ;)

We can hope. And boy oh boy, will I be hoping hard. I know I was definitely spoilt at the last show I went to.. Picking up my ticket the day of the show and being seated in the fourth row? Yeah, way spoilt. :-)

I'm trying to be positive about it, yay at least I'll see them, that's the main thing... But I can't help the little voice in my head saying "I wanna be clooooooser!" lol.

How does WW sales work? If I'm logged in at work for Sydney tickets and my gf is logged in (under my the same WW account) at home for Melbourne tickets, would that work? Or is it a more structured type thing?

There's already fourth row Sydney tickets on ebay *sigh*.

I have no idea if that would work. Last time, we just worked through it concert by concert (we couldn't seem to put different shows into one order, I had to make separate orders for Sydney, Melb and Brisbane).

You do get told what the seat numbers are, but there weren't built in links to seating plans, so have them open in another window or something.

Oh good! At least that's something. I started to panic a little when you said you couldn't raise tickets for Melbourne. Like I said earlier, we got 6th row for Sydney and 3rd row for Melbourne.

Girl from Andrew McManus reportedly said: "I have just gotten off the phone with them, they will be starting the pre sale on Wednesday 5 December 2pm their time, which will be early morning our time.

They will be sending out an email shortly before they go on sale which will have more information."

Also: "It will be through the fan club website. They have their own allocations that are separate from the presale."

However, I'm skeptical about this. What are the odds that they would do a presale at exactly the same time as the public presale, but in a different timezone? SO CONFUSED!!!
