OMG! I have no words for this. My Chem fanvid done to Mambo No. 5 - the Bob the Builder version. ::is dead of glee::

Couple of bandom questions:
- Are Frank and Jamia married? I thought they were engaged but I've seen references to Frank being married.
- Are there good interviews/articles about Pete's overdose? I'm trying to separate canon from fanon in my head.
Thanks for any help you can give :) ETA: yay, now I have the AP article!

Saw Die Hard 4 last night. It was pretty awesome (though they could have made it a wee bit shorter, a few bits dragged).

I uploaded a bunch of fan videos of BSB at the 2005 Jingle Ball, by request. If anyone else is interested, they're here.

I don't have a copy of Life on the Murder Scene anymore - the disc with the video diary wouldn't play chapter 19 (apparently my dvd player finds drunk, puking Gerard too distressing) and they didn't have another copy in-store for me to exchange it with.

I'm trying not to think about Patrick reading fanfic, cause I don't know whether to laugh or not *g*.

There used to be scans of an AP article that some people make reference to up on dyw (afaik this is where fandom gets the passing notes under Pete's door bit as well as other things) but it looks like the owner took them down (you can still find the post if you look, though) If you find a copy, point me in its direction, please!

Yes, I found the broken link to that too! Hopefully someone else has it saved.

The AP article from 2005 is probably the best source for Pete's overdose, which you can find here (http://drop-a-heart.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=18&page=1). One of the few bandom resources I have bookmarked on my computer because it's just so damn useful.

Thank you so much, the only link I'd found (in different places) to that article was dead! :)

I see you've already been linked to the one article that really talks about Pete's suicide attempt. No one really knows about Frank and Jamia. They may have been secretly married or they may just have the longest engagement in history. someone else may have a more definite answer but that's what I've always heard.

Thanks, it's good to know that it's just unclear, not that I've missed something :)

Frank and Jamia - I know that they applied for a license in February(? at the beginning of 2006, anyway), but there's an interview with Frank talking about Mikey's honeymoon hiatus and he laughingly jokes that he supported the idea so that there's a precedent for when he gets married in March next year, so. It's all very confusing!

Ah, no wonder there is confusion, thanks! :D

The marriage license thing really confuses me. It was my understanding that under Nevada law, you have 12 months from the time you apply for the license to use it. They applied for it in February 07 so if they plan to get married in March of 08, it'll expire before the wedding. So some seem to think that they've already gotten married since a number has already been issued and recorded into public records for the license.

It is very peculiar. Seems odd to get a license so far in advance of when you're planning to marry.

Maybe it's just because it was done in Nevada and people are just so used to the whole 'quickie' Vegas/Reno weddings and forget that it's just like any other state. lol Or maybe he just wants to be able to have it handy for the next time they swing by the state and get married then on their next little bit of a break?

Someone found a marriage license for Frank and Jamia this year around February, as [livejournal.com profile] jocondite mentions above, but I think someone pointed out it's legally valid for a year (?). So I think they aren't married yet, but are planning to. I think a good part of fandom has conflated the idea of a license with an actual marriage. Short of an actual confirmation, I'm going with not married.

Makes sense, I think I shall do the same. They do seem to be awfully adorable together :)

I'm going along with you on the not married part but it just bugs me that Frank had mentioned in that one interview that he was getting married next March but the license will have expired before then. I guess he'll just re-apply or just get another one in a different state?
