erilyn | (tldr) rambling about fannishness

It's funny, there are a lot of tv shows I watch (though not at the moment - oh, hiatus), but I haven't been tending to get involved in the fandom for them. I like to read some discussion, check out some fic for some of them, stuff like that. But I don't get fully into the fandom side, which is kinda sad. But sometimes I've found that the more I get into a fandom, the less I end up liking the show. It'd odd. I kinda miss it.

And I miss when you're that into a show, and you're counting down during the week for when it'll be on, and the new episode is like...it's like you're a drug addict getting a hit. I see friends flaily over shows (especially Supernatural), and I get sad that I'm not as into the shows. Well, I was for Dr Who (especially the last three eps *g*). But it does save a fair amount of emotional energy being that smidgeon less into it, so that's something.

So while I'm looking forward to the return of Heroes, NCIS, Criminal Minds, Supernatural, House, Atlantis, Torchwood (eventually), Bones (after inhaling the first two seasons in June/July) - I'm not desperate for any of them.

This might also have something to do with me (finally) falling head-first into bandslash. Cause it's not like my friends haven't been squeeing over it for like the last year and a half, or anything.

So, a (belated) warning, there's gonna be a high percentage of posts involving bands like Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, The Academy Is..., Cobra Starship and Panic! At The Disco in the near future. The falling has been occuring over the last two-three months, but I've reached a point with pictures and footage and stuff that I've got to post about it more. Cause they are squeealicious. And there'll still be stuff with my popboys, especially BSB since they are finally doing promo :)

So this lovely Friday night, I'm trying to throw off this fucking cold, and am saving Panic picspams. Damn Panic and their not-so-stealthy adorableness. And I might make some icons. Cause I NEED them.
