clearly I'm too stupid to phone post

I finally decided to try and set up phone posting, just in case I feel an urgent desire to post when I'm away next week, or make some concert posts over the next few months.

But when I call the Australian number, I get an invalid login message after I enter my PIN. I think I've entered both my phone number and PIN correctly, so not sure what's happening. Do I have to wait a while, or am I being an idiot?

ETA: apparently it's not me, it's that the fucked up Australian phone post number doesn't work most of the time. Not cool :(

Neither of the above. The Australian number hasn't worked properly since day one - it's entirely hit and miss as to whether you can log in or not. I've managed it a couple of times, but usually it just refuses to accept the login.

Yes, it is rather. I mean, you can still use one of the o/s numbers if you want to phone post, but there's not much point having a local number if it's broken.

hee! I hear ya. I had to get a new phone since they ARE our phones (we have no land line) and my old one wouldn't hold a charge. It's ridiculous what the batteries cost, so .... Yeah. And I splurged. ;-)
