Jumps on board the bandwagons

erilynIf there are one or more people on your friends list who make your world a better place just because they exist, and who you would not have met (in real life or not) without the Internet, then post this same sentence in your journal.
1. My username is _____ because ____.
Erilyn, because when I posted my first fanfic (to alt.tv.x-files.creative), I needed to come up with a pseud (I think I thought I HAD to), so I played around with names, and came up with this (it's based on my real name, but ten years later, I answer to Erilyn as readily). It's been my handle on mailing lists, forums, boards and lj ever since.
2. My journal is titled ____ because ____.
Blundering Numbskullery, because a while ago, I decided to make the title/comments etc Simpsons-themed (perfectly cromulent comment/embiggen yourself), and this Burns quote was just too perfect.
3. My subtitle is ____ because ____.
A wizard did it, because it's another Simpsons quote which is so perfect for fandom. It's from the episode with Lucy Lawless where fans are asking Xena writers about inconsistencies, and they tell them "whenever you notice something like that, a wizard did it."
4. My friends page is called ____ because ____.
Cheese-eating surrender monkeys, another Simpsons quote, because who doesn't love Willie's insults? My apologies to the French on my friendslist *g*.
5. My default userpic is ____ because ____.
This one. In some ways it's not a great choice as default as it's sad (hey, it is!) and fannish (who'd have thought 5 years ago that Timberlake would become my default icon for years), but a) it amused me so much when I made it (and still get comments on it) and b) I'm really lazy about changing these things.
