Fall Out Boy is stalking me

Wow, not even a long day at uni, and fandom's in an uproar. But I really should backup my journal, as I never have.

I'm being stalked by Fall Out Boy. Well, not really, but "This Aint A Scene" was on the radio as I drove home and I had to blinding flash "hey, Pete Wentz is in the video, so that means this is a Fall Out Boy song, not Panic", which I'd been thinking it was. Yes, I am bandslash illiterate, and can't tell one group from another. Often, I can't remember which group Pete is in, and he's the only one who's name I can reliably remember.

Then, when I got home and stuck the tv on a music channel, it was the end of "This Ain't A Scene", followed by "Thnks for the mmrs" - which was fucking hilarious. Several thumbs up, especially for Pete being molested by a chimp.

If you want to back up your journal I've found LJArchive works really well. It not only backs up your entries, but the comments as well.

Would you believe I found out this was happening on friendsfriends? There wasn't one post about it on my friendslist until late this afternoon. I suppose that's what I get for having a small FL.

I've just started an archive of my journal now. It takes a while when there are a lot of entries. Maybe they've changed the program a bit (the version I have is a few years old since I downloaded it after The Great LJ Blackout), and I've had no problems with it. I might still have the installer for it on the other computer, I'd have to check.

My best friend did that first with Backstreet Boys and then with My Chemical Romance and then once again with Fall Out Boy. MCR was in our home town for gods sake! I now drag her to every concert I can, most of the time she'll get into the fandom later *g*.

And *cough* Fall Out Boy are totally coming back to tour at the end of this year. As are MCR. Just in case, you know, you needed to know.

"This Ain't a Scene" cracks me up every time. Entirely because of a show on our local music channel called 10 Reasons. Each show has a theme, this time it was '10 Reasons to love misheard lyrics'. The misheard lyrics flashed across the screen while the video played. Lyrics for that song "This ain't a scene, it's a goddamned ass face", and later "I'm also evil, also into cats, also into caaaaats". See, already I am snickering.
