Dark Alec

Decided what I really needed in my life tonight was an infusion of prettiness, so the obvious choice was some judicious rewatching of Dark Angel s2 eps.

I adore Alec as much as ever, but somehow Jensen's utter gorgeousness had forced me to repress something rather unfortunate and distracting about Logan.

WHAT DIED ON TOP OF MICHAEL WEATHERLY'S HEAD AND IS MASQUERADING AS HAIR? Half the time when Logan's onscreen I'm recoiling in horror, and generally I find Michael a fairly attractive man. This and this don't really convey the worst of what I saw.

And as apology, have this and this, from Alec getting his hand squished by Max (his expressions kill me *g*).

On the commentary track for the first episode of that season, the creators of the show share your pain. Apparently, that was all Weatherly's choice. It was how he chose to demonstrate Logan's distraught inner life. Through really bad hair. ;)

I thought they blamed it on Jessica Alba too. Because she and Weatherly were engaged and she made him get the haircut.

MW has some serious hair-related issues. In the early episodes of NCIS, his hair changes constantly, cause he wanted to show that DiNozzo was a chameleon, but they yelled at him and made him be more consistent *g*.

Those are SOOO not even the worst pictures either. OMG. BLECH. He's generally cute, but the hair RUINS IT.

And then there's Alec, with the prettiest hair of them all. Even when it gets long at the end of the season (especially when it gets long?)

They were very attractive, from memory.
I have season 1 part 1 on dvd, which I bought because it was ridiculously cheap, and have never watched. I think ezydvd has discounted random dark angel boxes or eps in their current sale, which tempted me only a little for completeness sake.

I get tempted by those too - then I remember that they don't have the extras, so I'd just be buying more shelf-space-fillers.

Last month, my cousin gave me both of her Dark Angel DVD's to convince me it was a good show. I liked it, but unfortunately, I got three episodes into s2 before I had to return them. XD

But I too recoiled violently upon seeing that thing that's supposed to be hair atop of poor MW's head. :( What I did find amusing was on the last eppy of s1, JA and MW were doing the commentary. The whole time MW was making various comments about his hair. I loved it. X3
