erilyn: gabe and mikey's hips (sentinel2)

I've been re-reading some old favourites in Sentinel fandom (I will never ever not love Jim/Blair) as well as a few new-to-me stories. This is probably the best thing I found, and while it's not new, it may be new to some other people too.

Lovely - Sentinel/Stargate crossover by Martha (of Snake Oil and many other great stories).
Daniel goes looking for peace in the aftermath of "Absolute Power" and "The Light." Unfortunately, he goes looking for it in The Most Dangerous City in America. A Sentinel/Stargate crossover, gen, around 300k.

Such great characterisation, blending of shows *and* an interesting plot. Plus...an equally awesome sequel, that adds in Angelverse (and it works! who would have thought?), continuation of interesting plot, and slash! I love long stories that you can sink your teeth into and don't disappoint.

Tatters - It's four months after Lovely and everything's back to normal. More or less. Longer than Lovely, I think.

I must admit, I wasn't as squeeful as many over the Channel 10 SPN 'button' promos a little (sure, they were cute, but...), so I hadn't rushed off to check out the new station promos, until [livejournal.com profile] iibnf mentioned that there was cute NCIS stuff in an ad. Thanks to youtube, I found a minute long ad that has SPN and NCIS (plus more), and it's all adorable!

Now, do I finally watch last week's House (or the last three SPN), or rewatch some NCIS...?

Guess what's winning over House and SPN in tonight's viewage? I also still need to find stuff to make icons from - but caps of my S2 dvds are *craptacular* (they play badly on the computer, so weird).

Hee. really? I'm going to indulge in some Ryan Reynolds and his abs of steel in Blade 3 before I head off to bed.

Are you getting the blurring thing that dvds sometimes do? Does using a different media player work?

Oh yeah, I'm busting out second half of S3, except I'm just checking the S2 dvds again. Still muddy and grainy (way less quality than the avi files) and the caps through PowerDVD are even worse, and the aspect ratio is incorrect.

Can't get the disc to play through anything else so far.

Weird. I'll try and remember to have a look see tomorrow night to see how it plays on mine. Might be a difference between the US and Australian discs.

They play fine on the tv. I'm totally getting the S3 US discs, after getting burned by the lack of extras on S2.

I always chck first now because of the way they tend to not put stuff on.

Mine's a little grainy, but not and issue if you want to take it down to icon size because the caps are 800+ x 400+. I ran it through VLC.
