uni woes

Enrolling at university is just too hard (I swear it wasn't this complicated when I was a school-leaver). I think I'm gonna chuck it in and be a goatherder.

Seriously, I have an enrolment day tomorrow, and I don't seem to be getting anywhere on the Big Giant List of Things To Do To Enrol.

Then again, when I finally track down info on how I get exemptions and it says I should submit the form (I received about applying) well before my enrolment day so that I'll know what I've got credits for - I just want to scream. I didn't receive any form (though I've found a copy on the website) and I got my acceptance on Thursday and my enrolment is Monday - how exactly am I supposed to have submitted it *and* got my answer before then?

I'm hoping to only have to twelve subjects (but that's best case scenario), and do it in either 3 or 4 semesters.

After plowing through more vaguely contradictory info, it now seems I won't be able to enrol in classes until my exemptions get granted in late Feb - so all the good lecture and tutorial times will be full anyway *headdesk*.

Don't worry about rushing it. Just put the form in for the exemptions as soon as you can.

The exemptions will reduce the number of electives you will have to do, so for now, its no real problem, as first year you are probably only doing core subjects.

My TAFE degree exempts me from almost all the first year subjects and a couple of second year, so it makes a huge difference. I'm just gonna take everything I can with me tomorrow and hope for the best.

It's been 30 years that I enrolled in college classes and we didn't have computers in the offices back then. But even with paper enrollments I do remember long lines, mandatory classes who seemingly filled up in 5 minutes after being announced and a lot of frustration.

Nick does look good. Do we know if the woman in the picture is the alleged new girlfriend?
