I've seen that some people are looking forward to the Manband show, and there have been some good points.

Chris on tv + Chris singing = much goodness
entire concept of show = much badness

Can't we just have Chris singing on tv and Chris-eque wacky antics without the other guys or the concept? Why can't he get his own making an album show like Ashlee Simpson or (a more fitting comparison), Ashley Angel? Then I could be looking forward to the show without fearing for my liver...

PS - of course, all my complaining doesn't mean I'm not gonna watch it! I'm freaking addicted to House of Carters after all...

I want to get into the "it'll be wacky fun" mood that many people are regarding the news with, but I just can't.

I'm vacillating so badly between squee at seeing Chris lots and him kicking some ass and driving people bonkers with his sense of humour listening to him sing, and thinking how awful it could be if the editors decide they don't like him or that they're there to poke fun.

Mostly I've kind of got one wing down and am circling like a lame duck attached to a ferris wheel. Obviously being a hiatus fan makes me not used to the overwhelming embarrassment I'm scared I'll feel for me him.

I'm right there with you. More Chris on the news, tv, radio, whatever, is good. But this...

I just can't shake the feeling that it is not going to be good.

I'm suscribing to the theory that he's drunk. Or maybe, someone dared him.
I just can concile the fact that he refused to appear in the E! special, but is doing this. And the whole concept is what prevents me from enjoying the idea, more Chris on footage or not.

Yeah that sums it up - seeing more of Chris = good, seeing Chris on such a show = bad!!!

Chris, Chris, Chris ... *sigh* ... you can do so much better!

But damn yeah I'll end up watching too ...

I think that's the part that frustrates me most of all - he could do better.
