Oh, yum. Just downloaded this from simplybeing and must share it, in case others have been as deprived as me.

Scenes from "Blonde", a fictionalised biopic of Marilyn Monroe, starring Aussie actress Poppy Montgomery (from Without A Trace) as Marilyn. And co-starring Patrick Dempsey (McDreamy from Grey's Anatomy) and Jensen Ackles (Supernatural/Smallville/Dark Alec etc).

Jensen is extraordinarily pretty and the scenes between the three of them are just...why does the beach scene end when it does? The universe (or tv censors) are just mean. Though Jensen dancing around in the dressing gown is an image that's gonna stay with me too. I kind of want to see the movie now - Poppy does a good job as Marilyn.

Helped my brother and sister-in-law move today. So tired. But I do like their new place (which they've bought!), and we got a lot done. But fuck, they have a lot of stuff.

Now I'm gonna go to bed and read fic on my PDA. I'm on such a Smallville binge at the moment, re-reading from when I was in the fandom and new(er) stuff. Though my sister hasn't watched Supernatural yet, maybe I'll have to rewatch with her...oh yes, an exciting Saturday night here ;)

Hee. I don't have Devour up, unfortunately. It's a bad movie, but Jensen is insanely pretty. Almost no makeup, so the freckles are in full force and he cries. And that's on top of the squeaky sex noises. :)

Now that I've watched them, mmm. And also, fascinating.

I don't know enough about Marilyn's life to know who they're meant to be portraying, but it makes me curious to find out. Was she really in a long-term threesome relationship?

I was intrigued by this too, and did some quick poking around last night. The mini-series is based on a novel by Joyce Carol Oates - a fictionalised version of Marilyn's life, but it's based quite closely on real events (apparently). Cass (McDreamy) is Cass Chaplin (son of Charlie) and Eddy G (Jensen) is Edward G Robinson Jr (both he and his father were actors). In what I've read, there hasn't been much one way or another about whether this part is believed to be true, though her having relationships with them doesn't seem to get remarked on as untrue or far-fetched.

The reviews for the mini-series itself are disappointing though, apparently it's very patchy.
