Work's been pretty busy the last two days, and I've worked an extra hour both days because we're short-handed. Lately, Mondays have been around 250 calls. Yesterday, we had 524.

A girl came around selling introductory promotional packs of Liz Claibourne cosmetics, and the women in the office (we're in the majority around here - and we offered to give the one guy in our department a makeover) descended like a swarm of locusts, cleaning her out and necessitating a trip back to her office to fill all the orders. But they really were good value, for various compacts of eyeshadow/blush/lipstick combos. Normally I avoid this kind of selling, where they come and bother you at work, but it was too good value to pass up, and they're good colours for me.

The real damage to my wallet was done when I made an order at Amazon. Between that and JB last weekend, no more dvd shopping for me for a while!
