Apr. 17th, 2006 10:47 amI've had a pretty good Easter, on the whole. On Friday, I headed up to
veronamay's with
lemmealone (and
lydia_petze on Saturday) and had a wonderful time, complete with large amounts of chocolate, hysterical laughter and inappropriate jokes. And not nearly enough Jared and Jensen (cause House of Wax, a number of Supernatural episodes, interviews and Dark Angel eps? Totally not enough *g*). Also, we visited JB HiFi and I got a whole bunch of goodies (my poor bank balance) - but how was I supposed to resist Billy and Alan's purepure love in Jurassic Park 3? Or MASH? Or Colin Firth Pride & Prejudice and Robbie Williams and MUNCLE? All cheap? I'm not made of stone, people.
Yesterday didn't get off to the greatest start though. I nearly broke my big toe (and have an interesting bruise under the nail now), so didn't end up getting much done, unless you count re-reading fic and watching Joss Whedon commentaries. Which I do, actually. Then we went out to the Waratahs vs Brumbies game, which got off to a horrible start, but we managed to get back into it, and eventually won very convincingly. Can't believe the Brumbies player George Smith got named Man of the Match though. Call me old fashioned, but I think there should be an element of it being awarded like a Best and Fairest award, so that someone who was consistenly pulling professional fouls during the game shouldn't be considered.
Heading out shopping soon - hope my toe is better (it was aching a bit by the end of the rugby last night).
Fic rec - Flopping the Little Guy (The Pegasus Galaxy Remix). A popslash story I love has been remixed as an SGA crossover, and it's so much fun. More, more! *g*
