Converting video problems
Apr. 2nd, 2006 09:31 pmArgh! I'm trying to capture an episode of Burning Zone (starring young!Papa Winchester and guest-starring luscious Nick Lea) from video to the computer. I've converted a number of things off tape, but apparently none of them must have been in NTSC format, cause I can't get this to work.
Audio comes through ok, but apart from a brief flicker of picture when I first play the tape, the picture doesn't display. I convert by using the video camera as a pass-through device. I've checked a PAL tape and it works fine, and I've checked another NTSC tape (one I'm pretty sure is in SP, cause I was thinking maybe the problem was the tape being NTSC LP or EP) and it's the same thing - sound but no picture. I've fiddled with the one NTSC-related setting I can find on the camera, and that hasn't helped.
Sorry people I offered to do this for - doesn't look like I'll be able to share it after all.
