Had a lovely time with [livejournal.com profile] isilya and others yesterday :) Here's the fun VMAs performance I was talking about.
+ Tilt Ya Head Back - Christina and Nelly (live at VMAs) - 44 meg

Some of my pictures and videos are now up at Not Like You, and are going up at Blog do Nick too. Damn, there really mustn't be much Aussie footage floating around *g*.

I've got Nero 6 Express, and would love to get hold of a full version of 6 or 7? Is anyone able to share this?

You know what brightens up my work day? One of the marketing managers sending around pictures of her little British shorthair kitten, Hermione. Iwantakittentoo!!!!

I think I need a Dean icon...

ETA: in the interests of not wasting a ysi link, here's a 109 meg zip file of over 500 OLFC pictures (from the old BSB online fanclub, mostly screencaps, but there's some really cute stuff).

Thank you so much for this! I've been able to do exactly what I wanted to - though the menu design section leaves a lot to be desired. Very awkward and limited, especially compared to my several years old copy of TMPGEnc. You'd think Nero would have been able to do better than that?

Which sounds bitchy and ungrateful of me, but I'm very grateful! Just thinking out loud about the programs :)

you're very welcome, and I agree -- I don't know how old my copy of tmpgenc's dvd author is, but it's my default program, especially with menus. I've in the past made dvds and written them to the hard drive with nero, and then used those files to write *another* dvd with tmpgenc just so I could make the menus there.

but since most of my dvd making is for my son, I usually forego the menus all together, this way there's no bonus features for him to nag me to play for him (the games on kids dvds are just so stupid and badly done, usually), and the movie starts immediately after he puts the dvd into the player, without having to click or wait. so I like that :) He can work the actual dvd player, but we haven't taught him the remote, and we're trying to avoid that as long as possible ;)

anyways ;) you're welcome! :)

Do you have WinAVI? http://erilyn.livejournal.com/382997.html

From what I've tried so far, it's pretty good when you want a simple menu-less dvd quickly.
