Watched "Ripple Effect" last night, didn't get a chance to post.

OMG! This episode filled me with such glee, I loved it so much I wished it could have been a two-parter! I didn't see the actors names in the credits, so I was completely unspoilt for Janet and Martouf appearing. Oh, they were done so well, and Sam had such chemistry with Martouf, my sister and I were so annoyed at the lack of kissing. But the awkwardness of the situation was handled well.

The plot was interesting and handled well, and didn't rely on the characters being so incredibly stupid all the time *g*. Though, what happened to the thing about people from the wrong universe starting to go into cascade failure and dying after two days or so? Didn't that come up in the AU!Sam ep back in S3 or something?

In my head - Sam was married/knocked up by Rodney in at least some of those AUs. And Martouf and Pete and Janet and Siler (and even Jack occasionally).

I was spoilt for the return of Janet by of all things the offical Stargate magazine who stupidly printed it on the cover. grr.

Maybe they alternate teams were there less than the time it takes for them to start to break down. Although when Daniel was the first one to come through an AU he didn't have any problems, seems they only introduced that in the Sam ep. Perhaps they forgot their own canon.

If I remember correctly when Sam came through there was someone with her and he didn't have the same affect as Sam because his double was already dead. And I guess when Daniel came through they couldn't find his double, he might have already died...

I didn't see it. How did they get into the universe? The other times they used that alien device they found, some widow or doorway. Maybe the doubles only die through that device.

They addressed that in the episode, actually, just... I don't remember what they said. Something along the lines of "Blah blah blah, which might account for the lack of entropic cascade failure we've seen" or somesuch. ^.^;

Totally married to/knocked up by Rodney. And Martouf. And Jack. And Janet. There were all these hints and ahh! 18 Carters all in one place? Dude.

It was lovely to see Janet again (although I did know she would be appearing at some point this series) and was hoping that something would happen and she'd stay a little while longer.

I was wondering why people weren't flickering and disappearing, obviously I missed the mention of a solution too. Probably distracted by the 18 Carters.
