When did lj change things so that www.livejournal.com/users/erilyn automatically becomes erilyn.livejournal.com? This means I'm going to have to get rid of my .htaccess settings that meant only livejournal.com addresses and erilyn.com addresses could load the pictures (I don't know how to allow all variations of name.livejournal.com). Bugger. Not that I think it'll be a big problem, but annoying.

ETA: Yay, turns out it has only just happened, I wasn't being completely oblivious *g*.

it just happened a matter of a few hours ago, I think. apparently it was done as a security measure, or something. I think lj_news (or whatever it's called) has more details.

It was more people viewing them in my journal that I was thinking about, I didn't really want everyone being able to hotlink them at lj :) I've set it to allow erilyn.livejournal.com, and I'll just have to remember not to put any pics outside a cut (which I only did with small ones) as they won't show on peoples' friends pages anymore.

It's always been a feature available to paid accounts, but today is the first time that they're opening it up to all users and forcing it to display that way.
