SGA 2x15 "The Tower"

Fucking Mallozi and Mullie (wow, I'm having flashbacks to SG fandom)! That could have been a good episode. But instead it was clunky and rushed. And I'm annoyed that Sheppard slept with the princess. He's just got an inkling of all the machinations going on, that she wants to get married and have a thousand of his babies, that he's now a player in the court politics etc etc. Whatever. The lead male character must get laid! And that's twice in this season for Sheppard! They must have felt only once in season 1 wasn't enough to prove his masculinity. Maybe he'll get three female love interests next season? I'm sure Sheppard/Weir shippers are going to have fun with the last scene, but there was a complete lack of jealousy or even sharp interest from Weir that it made me quite happy, since I can't see them having a romantic dynamic at all.

But I love Peter Woodward! ::hearts:: And I like Carson again, which is nice. Them actually doing something with Sheppard's extra-spiffy genes is good. And there were some amusing and cute bits.

But so many loose ends? Did they clarify who's in charge now and I missed it? Cause Sheppard mentioned offering help to form a new system of government when they need it, which implies they aren't at the moment. Also, there goes there protection from the Wraith, whoops.

Is anyone else imagining the Atlantis team sitting around back home, and them all saying "I think there's something we forgot, I just can't quite put my finger on it?"

In conclusion, it felt like a bad unfinished het entry in the Harlequin challenge *g*.

He said, at the end, that he didn't sleep with her... (certainly looked like he did, though, maybe he was lying to Elizabeth, or maybe he just thought the girl was too dumb. There's a degree of dumb that's just too dumb).
