Awwww, I'm really out of the loop with HL fandom, but I was looking at the HLWW list for the first time in a while (can't remember now why...) and saw the news about Elizabeth Gracen having a little girl, Quinlan Murphy. How wonderful, I'm so happy for her :) She's one of the loveliest people (personality, manner, looks, everything) I've ever met.

Apparently Howie's father came through his surgery ok and is resting now, though it ended up being a quintuple bypass rather than a triple.

My sister and I just watched Veronica Mars 2x04 (I'm enjoying the new season a lot, yay!), and we finally started watching season 9 of Stargate (first three episodes). Very very cool. Me like a lot. We were positively gleeful at so many things.

Also, I've spoken to trumpeterofdoom again. Turns out, Howie is very short.

Actually, I forgot I hadn't mentioned - I rang her after the concert, and was basically bouncing around the house with delight while talking to her, her excitement was so infectious. Boys! Seriously, I'm having a big "fandom is so fucking cool" day today. And I love technology. I got to hear the Boys sing live (via phone) in another country this morning, and share a friend's glee, then download a bunch of video files of various concerts and stuff. This isn't just about popfandom, there's cool stuff like that across fandoms. Discussing stuff, writing and reading, chatting with people all over the world, making connections and friendships and just so much cool stuff. And lots and lots of porn. Mustn't forget the porn.

I have new two new SGA icons, courtesy of the lovely miss escapist_xbq. This is one of them. . And I'm posting with the other.

But, yes, big love to fandom (and I know it happens with all fandoms, but pop has been especially good to us of late)! If it weren't for fandom, I wouldn't have slept with deliberatehips last night. ;)

Fandom *is* fucking cool. I was thinking exactly that when I met up with quiet000001 and trumpeterofdoom outside the concert yesterday. It was two people I'd never met in RL before, and not even really interacted very much with on LJ, and it was just great to meet them, and so much fun to hear all about soundcheck etc. Fandom is a wonderful thing. :-)

My grandmother traced our family tree, particularly focusing on the Little family, whose motto is "Maxim in parvo" (greatness in little things). I'm sure he'd agree ;)
