What a day

Oy.
Got my Tax test back, and did really well, which pulls my mark-so-far up from a credit to distinction. Yay.
Got my Management Accounting test back, and while I got a distinction, it was only 86% rather than almost full marks because I made an incredibly stupid mistake - three times. My teacher almost didn't notice because I had all the calculations correct, and it was such a stupid mistake she didn't think I could have done that. Yeah, just spank me now.
And then, during that class I managed to drop a pen into my lap and not notice for a while. By which point, it had drawn all over the bottom of my tshirt. I was staring at it, disgusted with myself and trying to remember what we had a home that was good for getting pen out, when one of the girls in my class told me to use milk.
Has anyone ever heard that/done that before? Because we never have, and I don't know why, because it worked really well.
Of course, before I got around to cleaning the tshirt when I was home, I'd already tried to check my email, and discovered our net connection was down. Which we eventually tracked to a problem with the router. Dad changed the power cable, and it worked briefly, but died again. So we pulled the router out and plugged the modem directly back into the computer. But couldn't figure out how to change the settings so it wasn't looking for the router. We spent ages on this, had to call Optus, and the fixed turned out to be - rebooting (but with the cable modem unplugged). We felt like such n00bs.
But such squee (for good reason) on my friendlist. A Captain Jack spinoff of Dr Who! Hugh Jackman in Boy from Oz, in Australia! Lance apparently being wonderful on Extreme Makeover! Chris emerging from hiding! And the continuing Lambs glee that made me grin like a fool when reading lj before classes this morning.
So, in the end, I think I give this day a cautious thumbs up. Though if I die in some freak accident before bedtime, I won't be all that surprised.
Happy Birthday,
olivejz28! You (and JC) were fantastic room-mates at Challenge, and not just cause you took the couch, either ;) Hope you have a great day.
