Book recs

My mum would like a good history of the Plantagenet monarchs, does anyone have any recommendations? I also keep meaning to look for good scientific history books, after being reminded of my interest by the fabulous "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson. One period that I've been thinking about lately, in that I don't know enough about it, is nuclear research, and the development of atomic weapons.

How much do I love Amazon.ca at the moment? Lots! They upgraded our shipping and the dvds that were being shipped on Friday are now here, and we would have had them yesterday if the courier company had been able to leave them. Veronica Mars and House and Due South, oh my! Though it's terrible timing in a way, I really should study tonight. I really really should...

I hate you all, as the poll about Nsync footage should a clear preference towards the answers that don't best suit my preferred pairings. I'd flounce out of fandom in a huff, but a) yeah, probably and b) way too lazy.

There was also a clear not-winner in the most disliked SGA pairing name poll, with Shweir polling more votes than McShep. And given how many people I know loathe McShep, I think that says something.

I tried to get artistic with the fun Howie/Nick picture from TRL Italy. I'm not convinced of the results, but got bored of playing and uploaded it anyway (aka GIP!)
