I saw Howl's Moving Castle on Sunday. It was pretty and cool and kinda confusing, despite having read the book (actually, given how much they deviated, that probably just added to the confusion). And Hugo Weaving was in the cinema (we're pretty sure), so yay for random celebrity sightings.

It was a gorgeous day today, new record high temperature for this date in October. We had a family lunch (13 of us) at a nice place at Balmoral Beach - the traffic was insane, everyone was going to the beach today :) Then iibnf, my sister, her friend N and I saw Serenity. I enjoyed it again (I saw an advance screening in August) and it was interesting to see their reactions - especially N as she hasn't seen Firefly.

I've been busy and not at the computer much, so I haven't put together a birthday post for Kevin. My bad. I hope he's had a fantastic birthday, touring in Europe with the Boys.

She quite enjoyed it, and had no problem following what was going on (she checked once or twice on whether things were references to stuff she'd know if she'd seen it, that's all).
